What happened to movies having proper endings? The pilot literally dipped out and took all their money (and dinosaur leather handbag), leaving them for dead. The whole time they were in that luxury resort with the personalized linen and unicorn cheese, all I kept thinking is, this must be what Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston's lives must be like, every day. Hey, throw in a Lambo, just for the hell of it. It's clear they're catering the writing to being as extravagant as possible. One thing I'll say is that the locations in these films look gorgeous.
I found all three guilty parties to be pretty predictable, especially the sister and Mark Strong's character. There are a few laughs, but it feels way too formulaic to be properly enjoyable. I've watched all of Sandler's comedies, and each time, it feels like a case of diminishing returns. I suppose it's pointless complaining about this movie since we all know what we're in for. I'm glad they recapped it at the beginning since I had mostly forgotten about it.
I didn't think the first movie necessitated a sequel, but I guess it must have been pretty profitable.
